Hans-Christian Boer light, video, technique

"Light makes, in contrast to dark, the audience aware of the presence of a form. With light I can manipulate the connotation of that shape and I guide the audience in its experience. The video projector gives me the opportunity to make light move in its own bundle. This dynamic makes that the projection of light can be more concrete, that the perception of light is an experience, tells a story, shows an environment.

I am also the theatre technician, the mover, the hard worker, the man of the concrete solutions, but also the guarder of the magic of the picture, the one who takes care, has a sense of timing and can breathe with the performance."

Prisca Maas organisation, publicity

"To realize the path from an idea into plan and the final product, is a long way to go. To pave that path is my work. I find it a challenge to put an idea in the world, to build a team, to discover and to shape new ways of making things possible, to structure and to let things go. As a producer I make art possible and I am just as creative as a maker.
Within my work I love the research, the innovation, to think outside of the box. But I also like collaboration, the feeling of ‘to go for it’ and the moment the result shows up and is released into the world."
