Duda Paiva is dancer and puppetier.He worked in Brazil in companies such as Balé do Estado de Goias and the respected Quazar. He came to The Netherlands in 1996 where he developed a successful career working for many companies and directors such as Paul Selwin Norton, Itzik Galili, Karin Post, Ron Bunzl, Piet Rogie and Hans Tuerlings, among others.
In 2000 he was nominated for the VSCD Dutch price Best Dancer. After working with Itzik Galili (Galile Dance) in colaboration with the Israeli puppet group Gertrude Theater he devoted time to studie puppet manipulation in The Netherlands and Israel.
Soon he starts a serie of productions in collaboration with other directors and choreographers, such as LOOT with Gertrude Teatre,  MARVIN with Mischa van Dullemen, OYSTER BOY and LIVING ROOM with Shintaro Oue, all supported by Cadance FestivaL (Den Haag), Cement Festival (Tilburg) , Toyota Festival (Tokyo, Osaka and Saporo) among others.
In 2000, Duda Paiva met  the theater maker Ulrike Quade, starting the company Quade & Paiva.
