In 2000, Duda Paiva met the theater maker Ulrike Quade, founding the company Quade & Paiva.From that time till now they presented Silk, Oyster Boy , Dead Orange Walk, Two Old Ladies and recently, Nude Vol 1/ Angel.
Quade & Paiva were also involved in projects such as "Maggots" in colaboration with the Hong Kong University in Hong Kong, "Kijk met je Oren" a childrens project with live music from Het Concert Gebouw (Amsterdam) and "Opoe" with the master puppetier Neville Tranter at the Utrechtschouwburg.
In 2004 they were select as best performance for the Nieuwe Theater Makkers Serie with the performance Dead Orange Walk, about the life and work of Frida Kahlo.
